50 Ways Financial Advisors Find Serenity

(even when serenity is the last thing on your mind!)

Would you like to transform tension and anxiety into serenity and calm using manageable and enjoyable steps?

In the normal course of living, we all feel overwhelmed and stressed at times.  It’s also common to get stuck in the muck for way too long.

I know I did.

What helped?  Back in 2000, my coach gave me an exercise to complete.  I was to write a list of 10 things I could do when overwhelm took over.  And it worked.  So well, that when my own clients felt troubled and anxious, I gave them the same exercise to do.

But they wanted my list, too.

Over time, my list turned into Serenity Cards.  Their instructions state:  When you’re stressed out, the most important thing to remember is to find your Serenity Cards.  Then pick one.  Don’t like it?  Find one you fancy and do it.

  1. As long as you’re alive, life will bring you challenges to manage.
  2. We can do something about the feeling we call “stressed out”.
  3. Sometimes “doing something” looks like:
  • making a change
  • doing nothing
  • doing something totally different
  • being with someone
  • being alone
  • being with a group
  • forgiving ourselves for our mistakes
  • being thankful that we’re alive

So, what can you do in 30-days?

I enjoy watching a TED video each month.  This month’s edition comes via one of my LinkedIn connections, Lorraine Ball of RoundPeg Marketing.   Lorraine and I met on a 30 Day LinkedIn Marketing group, just this month.

What can I say about this video?  It’s short, to the point, and content rich.   I’m sure you’ll get a nice take-away from it.   But remember –take action in the next 30-days!
